Technical laboratories are used to research new technologies required to develop units, weapons, shields, and other equipment. In order to survive and prosper new technologies must be developed.

Plan your research path wisely. The maximum level of technologies developed in any one city is limited to 25.
Each new technology researched in the Tech lab opens up designs for new items in the Science Academy.
